「初冬」のロケは11月29日。撮影当時の11月は今よりずっと寒かったように記憶しています。同行したプロカメラマンにF/2.8の70-200を借りて撮影しました。あまりのボケ味の美しさに感動し，間もなく所持していたF/4を処分して中古のF/2.8を買いました。家計に大きなダメージを与えたのでサティにタイヘン怒られました。
We took "Early Winter" on November 29th long ago. I remember that November at the time the photo was taken was much colder than it is now. I borrowed a EF70-200mm with F/2.8 from the professional photographer who was accompanying me to take this photo. I was so moved by the beauty of the bokeh that I soon got rid of my F/4 and bought a used F/2.8. I was scolded by Satie because it caused a big damage to our family finances at the time.
